End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") governs your use of siliconscripted.com ("the Website") and the scripts, code, and technical content made available through the Codebase section. This is a legal agreement between you and Silicon Scripted (Jonathan Witherspoon, sole proprietor). By using the Website or any content from it, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

1. License Grant

Silicon Scripted grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to access and use the Website and to view, download, adapt, and incorporate scripts and code from the Codebase section into your own projects, subject to the terms of this EULA.

You may not sublicense, sell, or redistribute the Website's design, layout, branding, or non-code content without express written permission. Code from the Codebase section may be used in your own projects; attribution is appreciated but not required. See the Terms of Service for the full intellectual property terms.

2. Codebase Disclaimer

⚠️ ALL SCRIPTS, CODE, AND TECHNICAL CONTENT IN THE CODEBASE SECTION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

By using any code from siliconscripted.com you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Scripts are provided for educational and reference purposes only
  • You assume all risk associated with using, modifying, or implementing any code
  • You are solely responsible for testing code in a non-production environment before deploying to production systems
  • Silicon Scripted is not liable for any damages, data loss, system failures, or security issues arising from use of code from this Website
  • Some scripts interact with critical systems (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, etc.) and improper use may cause serious harm
  • No guarantee is made regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALWAYS TEST THOROUGHLY IN A NON-PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT FIRST.

3. Privacy

The Website does not collect personal information directly. The only data stored locally is your theme preference, saved in your browser's local storage. For full details on data practices — including third-party services used by the Website — see the Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

The Website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The Codebase viewer loads open-source libraries (highlight.js, marked.js) from content delivery networks. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Silicon Scripted is not responsible for the availability or conduct of any third-party service. See the Privacy Policy for details on these integrations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Website or any content from it to:

  • Facilitate or engage in unlawful activity
  • Attempt to circumvent, scrape, or abuse the Website's infrastructure
  • Redistribute or republish Website content (other than Codebase scripts) without express written permission

6. Intellectual Property

All Website content — including design, layout, branding, non-code text, and images — is the intellectual property of Silicon Scripted and is protected by copyright. This EULA grants you no rights to Silicon Scripted's intellectual property beyond the limited license in Section 1. Code in the Codebase section may be used in your own projects as described in Section 1.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SILICON SCRIPTED DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SILICON SCRIPTED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

For the full limitation of liability and indemnification terms, please review the Terms of Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Silicon Scripted's total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to your use of the Website or any content from it shall not exceed $5.00 USD. In no event shall Silicon Scripted be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Governing Law

This EULA is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from this EULA shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Tennessee.

10. Changes to This EULA

Silicon Scripted may update this EULA from time to time. The updated version will be published at siliconscripted.com/eula with a new effective date. Continued use of the Website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
